The Battle at Monkey Village

This drawing was just a simple exercise to see how many different elements I could add into a drawing and tell some kind of a story. The title, The Battle at Monkey Village has no real meaning other than these two warriors are about to fight in a monkey village. With that said, maybe there is a bigger story here to tell. Why are they fighting? Why are they in the monkey village? Which warrior is good and which is bad? It might be fun to explore the narrative of this piece and see where it goes.
Inktober Day 13 “Guarded”

The first thing that came to mind was the Gamorrean Guard from Return of the Jedi. I decided to draw this one digitally using my iPad Pro and my Apple Pencil. I colored this version, but you can see the black and white version on my Instagram account.
First Blood

When I was a kid my dad would take me to the movies all the time. My love of movies is a direct result of all the time we spent watching them together. Rocky starring Sylvester Stallone was one of our favorite movies. The movie Rocky III was released in 1982 as was the movie First Blood, this was the first of all the Rambo films. I don’t know how well the film did in the theater, but regardless we loved it. To this day watching a movie with my dad is something I enjoy. When I heard that Sylvester Stallone was making a new Rambo movie, Rambo: Last Blood, I felt like I wanted to draw something Rambo related to not only share my love of movies but for the love I have for my dad.
